Is the Pelican waterproof?

Yes. The Pelican uses a functional waterproof shell fabric that can withstand a 10,000 mm (10K) water column before being penetrated. Its seams are sealed with adhesive waterproof tape to help prevent water from entering through the stitching. The fabric is also finished with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, which changes the surface tension so water forms droplets that roll off rather than being absorbed.

How warm is the Pelican?

The Pelican uses PrimaLoft insulation, which provides lightweight warmth without the bulk of traditional Winter parkas, making it ideal for transitional weather and everyday cold-weather wear. PrimaLoft® is a lightweight synthetic insulation that retains warmth while supporting breathability and mobility, making it well suited to active use, layering, and changing conditions without the bulk of a traditional down parka.
